ความหมายของอนุเฉท ( Meaning of paragraph )
อนุเฉท หมายถึง
กลุ่มคำของประโยคหลายประโยคที่ เขียนเรียงกันไป มีความสัมพันธ์ร่วมกัน
และช่วยกันอธิบายหรือขยายความคิดหลัก( Main idea )ที่ผู้เขียนต้องการนำเสนอ โดยจัดอยู่ใน รูปแบบที่ถูกต้อง
*ประโยค ( Sentence ) - ประโยคที่สมบูรณ์ประกอบด้วยภาคประธานและภาคแสดง
*ความคิดหลัก( Main idea ) – ความคิดรวบยอดที่ผู้เขียนต้องการนำเสนอ
1. Topic คือ ชื่อเรื่องหรือหัวข้อเรื่องของอนุเฉทที่จะเขียน
เช่น - Rose
- Thailand
- Rayong
- My favorite sport
- To be a good student
- The Thai economy
2. Main idea คือ
ข้อความหรือประโยคที่แสดงความคิดรวบยอดของอนุเฉทเพื่อบอกว่าอนุเฉทที่จะเขียน
นั้นเกี่ยวกับเรื่องอะไร เรียกอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า “
Topic sentence ”
Topic sentence ที่ดีจะต้อง
1. เป็นประโยคที่สมบูรณ์
อธิบายความคิดรวบยอดเพียงความคิดเดียว
2. มีความชัดเจน
ไม่คลุมเครือ
3. เลือกใช้คำได้ตรงความหมายที่ต้องการมากที่สุด
4. รับผิดชอบในการแสดงสาระสำคัญของสิ่งที่ต้องการพูด
และเป็นตัวแทนให้กับทุกประโยคในอนุเฉท
เช่น - Rose is the queen of flower.
- My favorite sport is Tennis.
- To be a good student is very
difficult.
- Rayong is an industrial city.
3. Statement คือ ข้อความหรือประโยคที่จะนำมาเขียนเป็น Main idea
Statement แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ชนิด
1. Fact statement คือ
ประโยคที่สามารถพิสูจน์ได้ด้วยวิธีการชั่ง ตวง วัดและอื่นๆ
ว่าเป็นความจริงหรือไม่จริง
เช่น - The moon is round.
- The Star Plaza hotel has 10
floors.
- The Chaopraya river is the longest
in Thailand.
2. Opinion statement คือ ประโยคที่ไม่สามารถพิสูจน์ได้ด้วยวิธีการชั่ง
ตวง วัดและอื่นๆ ว่าเป็นความจริงหรือไม่จริง เป็นเพียงความคิดเห็นของผู้เขียน
เช่น - Bangkok is a beautiful city in
Thailand.
- Ramkhamhang university is the best
in the world.
- English is the most favorite
subject of TPI Institute of Technology’s students.
- Cats are more intelligent than
dogs.
4. Support sentence คือ ประโยคที่ทำหน้าที่สนับสนุนความคิดหลัก
Support sentence แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ชนิด
1. Major support sentence คือ ประโยคที่ทำหน้าที่ช่วยอธิบายหรือสนับสนุนMain idea ( ความคิดหลัก ) โดยตรงอย่างชัดเจน
2. Minor support sentence คือ ประโยคที่ทำหน้าที่ช่วยอธิบายหรือสนับสนุน Major support sentence เพื่อทำให้ความคิดหลัก ( main idea ) มีความชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น

Paragraph
A paragraph is a set of related
sentences that explain or prove one idea. The idea
that is explained or proved in the
paragraph is called the main idea. If the main idea is a sentence that occurs
in the paragraph, that sentence is called the topic sentence. The related
sentences, called support sentences, are of two kinds: major support sentences
and minor support sentences. Major support sentences directly explain or prove
the idea of the paragraph. Minor support sentences further explain or give more
information about the major support sentences.

3. Continuity
4. Transition
1. Unity คือ ความสัมพันธ์ของประโยคทุกประโยคที่มีต่อ Main idea
ขั้นตอนการเขียนอนุเฉทให้มี Unity
1. เลือก Topic ที่ถนัด
2. เขียน Main idea ให้เป็น opinion
3. เขียนเนื้อหาสาระเพื่อใช้เป็น
Major support และ Minor Support
4. ตรวจดูว่าเนื้อหาสาระที่เขียนอธิบาย
Main idea ทุกประโยคและครอบคลุม Topic ชัดเจน
2. Coherence คือ
การจัดวางประโยคในอนุเฉทให้เป็นขั้นตอนที่ต่อเนื่องกันอย่างสมเหตุสมผล
3. Continuity คือ
การเชื่อมประโยคต่างๆของอนุเฉทเข้าด้วยกันเพื่อให้อนุเฉทเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นไม่สะดุด
4. Transistion คือ
คำหรือโครงสร้างทางไวยากรณ์ที่ช่วยให้ผู้อ่านติดตามความคิดของผู้เขียน
